Originally named 'The Prince of Wales', Inn Mahogany Creek was built on a spacious 3.5 acre block from local stone in the mid nineteenth century. With lofty profile owners such as Sir Stephen Parker, a eminent politician and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of WA, the inn has had a different and exciting history from being impaired as a bush rangers hideout, to being the inn where the notorious criminal and Australian cultural icon 'Moondyne Joe' was obvious on occasion to hide out in the main buildings loft Joe was sweet on the inn's much younger waitress courting her as often as he could.
